Post-surgery care

Recovery can take 1–2 weeks. Follow these steps for a smooth recovery:

• - Follow your doctor's instructions.
• - Shower as usual.
• - Wash the incision area gently with water and mild soap.
• - Move and elevate your legs while in bed to reduce the risk of blood clots.
• - Use prescribed pain medicine only as needed; consider OTC options (ibuprofen, naproxen) for mild pain.
• - Avoid strenuous exercise for 2 to 6 weeks.
• - Do not drive until your doctor clears you.
• - Do not resume sexual activity until your doctor says you can; you may need to wait two weeks.
• - Follow your doctor’s ultrasound schedule, especially if cysts are likely to recur.
