The most frequent fallopian tube cancers are serous and endometrioid adenocarcinomas. Leiomyosarcomas (from smooth muscle) and transitional cell carcinomas have also been described.

Symptoms

Women with fallopian tube cancer are sometimes asymptomatic or have vague symptoms similar to other gynecologic or digestive problems. Because this cancer is rare, it can be difficult to diagnose, making medical evaluation essential.

Most frequent symptoms include:

• - Abnormal vaginal bleeding, especially after menopause.
• - Abdominal pain or a feeling of pressure.
• - Unusual vaginal discharge that is white, clear, or pink-tinged.
• - Pelvic mass at diagnosis, present in up to two-thirds of patients with fallopian tube cancer.

• - Surgeries similar to ovarian cancer, depending on extent and staging.
